Ellie of Staghorn Valley

Ellie is one of our foundation females, and she has been a wonderful producer for us. Mild-mannered, excellent temperament, easy to breed, wonderful mother, and consistent quality offspring are all traits that describe this girl. Every cria that Ellie has given birth to has been a ribbon winner. Her offspring have strong frames, straight legs, great fiber and good bites. Her firstborn son Patriot, a Hollywood son and Dom Lucilio grandson, is a blue ribbon and reserve champion herdsire who has begun his breeding career on our farm. We were so pleased with the pairing of Ellie and Hollywood that we repeated it two more times! Beringer was born in 2007, and he is consistently finding favor with the judges.

Patriot and Beringer took first place honors for Produce of Dam in North Carolina, and we think that this year’s cria, Rock You Fella, will stand right beside them! We can’t wait for “Rocky” to join our show string….he’s amazing. Ellie has been bred this time to Spruce Ridge Farm’s herdsire Riddick for a summer 2009 cria. With the award-winning offspring they have both been producing, we can expect great things from their pairing.

JULY 2009 Update:

Ellie has given birth to PTO, a light fawn male with great conformation and very promising fiber characteristics.  Please look for him on our Crias page.

Award winning gray herdsire Sir Devin of Kendall Creek Farms Alpacas was selected as Ellie's next breeding partner.  We are very excited to have a Sir Devin cria "on board", due to arrive in the fall of 2010.
