Quarry Ridge Ikon

Quarry Ridge Ikon represents the quality of grey male that we were looking for to add to our lineup of outstanding herdsires and junior herdsires. 

A multiple award winner, including Reserve Champion at the New England Coastal Classic 2009, Ikon is the offspring of multi-champion,Legend's Challenger of KPR, and  Quarry Ridge A Cappella, a Canzelle's Zambezi daughter.  He has the well-recognized bloodlines of Macusani, Timoteo, Sinopsis Nocturna and Danko in his  background.
Ikon certainly stands out in the pasture; he's appreciated for his notable and noble appearance even before you take a closer look at the wonderful fiber that he bears.  Ikon's fleece is silky and fine, with great color, character and consistency.  He has outstanding conformation and a beautiful typey head.
We are proud to have  Ikon available in our herdsire program.  Ikon will be offered for stud service for any females purchased at our farm. 

August 2010 Update:

Ikon has settled his first four females, with ease and the manners of a gentleman!  His breeding career has begun, and we expect some outstanding crias from him next year.  Ikon is now breeding to females from other farms, so please let us know if you are interested in scheduling a breeding to this great silver male.

Summer 2011 Update:

We are excited to announce the births of Ikon's first crias!  Male and female, in black, fawn and yes, even silver grey.  Every one is showing desirable conformation and good fleece attributes, in winning combination.  Please look for Brinks, Chantilly Lace, Chrome Run and Blazing Heat on our Crias page, with additional photos on our News and Events page.
