Godiva was the first-born daughter of our blue ribbon foundation female, Olivia. She is well proportioned, with very fine dark brown fleece and correct bite. Godiva demonstrates excellent mothering skills. Godiva had her first cria, a dynamite beige male who is part of our show string, in September of 2007. She is presently bred to Bel Canto’s Sinbad (ARI #30017242) for an October 2008 birth.
Godiva has the genetics of 4Peruvian Black Magic, MFI Peruvian Prestige and PPPeruvian Royal Fawn in her background. It is no wonder that her son Dauntless, (a PRA Armando offspring), has such herdsire potential. The pairing of Godiva and true black, blue ribbon winner Bel Canto’s Sinbad, brings the lineage of AABC Navigator and Peruvian Macusani to our farm. We couldn’t be more excited as we await the cria born from this match.
UPDATE:
Godiva gave birth to Lady Morgan, a black female cria, on October 14, 2008. Information about this new and exciting offspring appears on our Crias page. Godiva has been bred to Crescent Moon's Ante Up from Graceland Farm for a fall 2009 birth. Ante Up is an outstanding black-point grey herdsire, and we are very excited about this pairing. Godiva produced a white cria when bred to white, and a black cria when bred to black. Could there be a grey offspring in her future? We'll see......
OCTOBER, 2009: Godiva has given us another girl!. Lizette looks to be bay black, with some greyish overtones.
This time around, we have chosen our own Braveheart for Godiva' breeding mate. Braveheart gave us three outstanding crias this year, and we are sure that he will do the same when bred to Godiva.
