Staghorn Valley's Chanel

We knew the first time we saw her that Chanel possessed the quality and beauty that we wanted in our breeding program. One of our original four females, Chanel has surpassed our hopes and expectations for her. Her first  two outstanding award winning offspring are already making their mark in our herd. 

Chanel has passed her calm and friendly nature on to her crias, as well as her strong conformation, dense fine fiber and great head style. Braveheart, a Lancaster son and Chanel’s first cria, is a blue ribbon herdsire who has settled his first female for us, at just two years of age. We love his friendly, huggable nature and abundance of fiber, traits that are shared by his younger half-sister Danica. New to our show string this year, Danica is a solid young female with wonderful potential for both showing and breeding. She placed first in her class at the Central New York Alpaca Classic this summer. Her herdsire, Hilltop’s Dreamer’s Advocate, complimented Chanel’s qualities fantastically to produce this beauty. Chanel’s own sire, CPeruvian Winchester, is a six time champion herdsire with over fifty champion offspring to his name.   

Chanel was rebred to Lancaster in the Fall of 2007.  Lily of the Field, the lastest cria produced from that pairing, was born in October 2008.  We are very excited about the quality of this little girl.  Please look for more information about Lily on our Crias page.

AUGUST 2009 UPDATE:
Chanel has been bred to multiple champion-producing herdsire Snowmass XXXtreme.  Can this offspring, due in the summer of 2010, be anything but outstanding?  We don't think so!

We are so impressed with Chanel’s breeding record that we are keeping her as part of our foundation herd at this time. Her ability to produce outstanding offspring is a key element in our successful breeding program.
